A client's throwaway comment made me rethink my whole chair setup

Last Saturday a regular client, Maria, pointed at my styling chair and said 'you always lean left when you work, is your back okay?' I laughed it off but then noticed after 6 years behind the chair, my posture is actually wrecking my shoulder. I had never thought about how my station layout, the mirror height, and where I keep my tools affects my body long term. She's a physical therapist, so she started listing off things like keeping my elbows at 90 degrees and moving my feet instead of twisting. Now I'm looking at getting a shorter cart and maybe a mat, but I'm not sure what helps most. Has anyone else adjusted their setup after a client or friend mentioned something like this, and did it actually fix the pain?
