Found a weird fix for stubborn toner buildup on my brushes

I spent 3 full evenings scrubbing toner stains out of my brushes, and nothing worked until I tried a drop of dish soap with a splash of warm water before the shampoo step. Turns out the silicone in some toners binds to the bristles, and the soap breaks that down way faster. Now I do it as a pre-soak on every color service, takes me maybe 10 minutes total. Has anyone else dealt with that cloudy residue that just won't come out, or am I the only one?
