I finally got a seamless balayage on box-dye black hair

This client had been in three times before, each visit ending with orange streaks or patchy lightening. I switched to a slower developer and added a bond protector. The color lifted evenly, and the blend was perfect. Honestly, I'm shocked it worked.

Slower developer was key for my stubborn cases too.

I mean, that slower developer tip is spot on for tough hair. It just gives you way more control to avoid damage, you know? Maybe it's just me but taking it slow always turns out better.

Was the bond protector what really made the difference this time? I've seen those past sessions actually prep the hair for better lifting later on, even if they looked bad at the time. Your patience with the process is what finally got that perfect blend.

That bond protector tip from @abbyr54 really saved my last bleach job.
