I finally stopped turning clients away for fashion color after watching a stylist in Dallas
I used to turn down anyone asking for vivids because I thought my application would look patchy on dark hair. Last month I sat in on a class at a salon in Dallas and the teacher did a full blue melt on level 3 hair in 90 minutes with no bleach. She sectioned into 8 thin slices and painted each one root to tip, then went back over the mids with a second pass. Watching her work changed my mind because the coverage was even and she only used 2 bowls of color. I did my first vivid client two weeks ago and it took me 3 hours but it looked good. Has anyone else held back on a service way too long because of one bad experience in school?
