Is anyone else finding toner fade times are getting way longer than they used to be?
Last month I did a full balayage and toner combo on a client in Mesa, and the processing time ended up at 55 minutes instead of the usual 25. I kept checking the lift and the brassiness just would not come out, so I re-applied product twice. My coworker swears it's the new color line we switched to, but I'm wondering if it's the water hardness in this area or something about the current batch. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just overthinking it and should go back to my old brand?
honestly 55 minutes is a lot but maybe you just got a stubborn batch of hair or the products are sitting too long somewhere. i'd test it on a wig or practice head before you go full panic brand switch. sometimes we overthink these things.
