My first solo bridal party went off without a hitch
I've been doing hair for just over 3 years now, mostly assisting. Last Saturday I finally got to do a whole bridal party by myself. 5 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and the bride herself. That's 7 heads, all with different textures.
I was nervous all week. But I made a schedule and stuck to it. Started at 6 AM, finished at noon. No one was late. The bride cried happy tears when she saw her updo.
It just felt different. Like I finally trusted my own hands instead of second guessing everything. The bride even tipped me $80 extra.
What was the moment you felt like you actually knew what you were doing? Was it a specific client or just a random Tuesday?
