Showerthought: the $6 spray bottle from Sally's saved my color corrections
Three weeks ago I was doing a color correction on a client in my chair at the salon in Fresno, and her ends were soaking up developer way faster than her roots. I grabbed a cheap continuous spray bottle I picked up for six bucks and misted her mid lengths with water before applying, and it slowed everything down just enough to get an even lift. I have been doing this trade for nine years and nobody in school ever mentioned it, they just said watch your saturation. Now I keep two of them at my station, one for water and one for a light leave in, and my foiling goes way smoother on dry hair too. The mist gives me a second to think before the lightener grabs. Has anyone else used a spray bottle mid service like this, or am I late to something everybody already knows?
