Spent $340 on a hooded dryer and now I'm not sure if it was smart or stupid
I was doing perms and deep conditioning out of my little chair in a salon in Portland, and the old wall dryers were always taken. So I dropped $340 on a used hooded dryer I found through a stylist group. For the first month it saved me because I could take walk-ins and not fight for the two working hoods. But the motor started getting loud a week ago and my one client with thick hair said the heat was uneven, so now I'm back to rotating foils under a cheap bonnet. Did I just burn $340 on something that will die in six months, or is there a way to fix the airflow without paying a repair guy $150 just to look at it?
