Walked out on a client mid-consult, zero regrets
Last Tuesday this lady came in with a photo of some gravity-defying braided updo from a Netflix show, and she expected it in 20 minutes for $35. I explained the time and cost, and she just rolled her eyes and said, 'My last stylist could do it fast, guess you're not that good.' I packed up my comb, handed her the mirror, and told her to call that last stylist back, then walked to the front desk and booked my next client. Has anyone else straight-up ended a consult when the disrespect starts that early, or do you try to salvage it?

Good for you. That "guess you're not that good" line would've done it for me too. I had a guy once tell me my styling chair was "the cheapest looking one he'd ever sat in" before I even picked up a comb. I just put the cape down and told him the salon down the street might be more his speed. Some people think being rude gets them a discount or better service, but it just gets them the door. I don't get paid enough to be anyone's punching bag.
