Watched a balayage go from orange to perfect in one 20 minute shadow root pass and now I feel like I've been doing it wrong
A girl came in with grown out highlights that pulled super warm at the root, like straight up pumpkin, after about 2.5 months of no touch ups. My coworker did a quick shadow root with a level 7 ash and it killed every bit of that orange in under 20 minutes, no toner, no drama. Am I the only one who has been overthinking toner formulas this whole time when a shadow root would've fixed it?
