Actually, the real genius is the fast-dry drops or the quick-dry base coat. A quick top coat alone just seals in wet polish underneath. You still have to sit there. The stuff that lets you put on socks five minutes later is a chemical game changer.

After ruining more manicures than I can count, I totally get what @waderamirez is saying. I used to rely on just a top coat and would smudge my nails trying to check my phone too soon.
