I used to bounce between coffee shops until I tried a real coworking space

Three years ago I thought paying for a desk was a waste of money... I'd just camp at Starbucks with my laptop and hope no one needed my table. Then I spent $150 on a month pass at The Workery in downtown Denver and it honestly changed how I work. Now I actually talk to other freelancers there and pick up tips, has anyone else had that kind of shift with coworking spots?

Was the networking actually worth it or did you just end up liking the better coffee and WiFi?

Funny enough, I ended up talking to a guy about his vintage pinball machine collection way more than any actual business stuff. The WiFi was trash too, kept dropping every 15 minutes. But the free pastries? Those little ham and cheese croissants were legit the highlight of my morning.

Man those old pinball machines are way more interesting than half the business talk anyway.
