I used to think coworking spaces were too expensive until I did the math

I was spending $150 a month on coffee shop snacks and drinks to work for a few hours. Then I switched to a $100 monthly coworking pass in Austin and actually get more done. Has anyone else found their local spot cheaper than they assumed?

Quit pretending the snacks were the real cost, the guilt was free.

Wait, isn't that the whole point though? The snacks were just the excuse we gave ourselves to feel bad about something deeper. @joseph48 you're hitting on something real here, the guilt was already there before we even opened the bag. We just used the food to make the guilt feel like it had a reason, like we could fix it by controlling what we ate. But really we were just avoiding the fact that we felt bad about other stuff and needed a simple target. So yeah, the cost was never the chips or the candy, it was the fact we couldn't just sit with our own feelings for five minutes. Now I'm just mad at myself for not seeing that sooner.
