I was dead wrong about paid coworking memberships

For two years I only used free cafe WiFi thinking $200 a month for a desk was a scam. Then I spent three days at a WeWork in Portland and closed two contracts because I actually had privacy during calls. Has anyone else found the price worth it for better Wi-Fi alone?

Bro, you closed two contracts in three days and that's supposed to prove coworking is worth it? Sounds like you just had a good week, could have happened at a library with better soundproofing. I've seen way too many people drink the WeWork Kool-Aid and then complain about the noise and crowds a month later.

Oh man, @henryr45 might have a point - my big "coworking win" was probably just dumb luck and expensive WiFi, which is basically my brand at this point. I'll probably be back to taking Zoom calls from my car next week anyway.
