My local coworking space closed with two days notice

It happened last Friday, and now I'm scrambling to find a new spot in Denver. They sent an email saying the building was being sold, and I had to clear my locker out by Sunday. Has anyone else had their main workspace vanish overnight, and how did you find a new one?

Sounds like a hassle, but maybe not the crisis abbyf79 makes it out to be.

Oh man, that's brutal. I read about a spot in Austin that did the same thing last month, just locked the doors with no warning. People lost deposits and everything. For Denver, I'd check out some of the smaller neighborhood spots, maybe in the Highlands or near RiNo. They seem less likely to get sold out from under you. Good luck, that's such a stressful way to start the week.

That kind of sudden closure is the worst... happened to a friend's yoga studio last year, same deal with a building sale. Makes you wonder about the whole lease model, you know? Riverb13 might call it just a hassle, but losing your spot like that really throws your whole routine off the rails. Makes it hard to trust any place, even the cool little neighborhood ones.
