My neighbor told me to just work from home, but I tried a coworking spot in Tempe for a month

He said paying for a desk was a waste and I'd be fine at my kitchen table. After four weeks at the 'Hive' on Mill Avenue, I'm way more focused and met two other web developers just by chatting in the kitchen. Has anyone else found a local spot that really changed how they get things done?

That kitchen table is a productivity trap, honestly.

Seriously, I get it now. I used to love working at my kitchen table because it felt cozy. But then I realized I'd just stare at the fridge or notice every single dirty dish. It totally kills your focus. Having a spot just for work, even a tiny desk, makes a huge difference. The kitchen table is for eating, not for getting anything done.

Wait, so where do you actually get work done now?
