Our shared office printer ate my freelance contract at the worst time
Last Tuesday I was printing out a signed contract for a new gig, and the communal printer in our coworking space just grabbed the page and chewed it up. It made this horrible grinding noise and spat out a shredded mess that looked like confetti. I panicked because the client was waiting on the PDF by noon, and I had to dig through the paper tray to find the scraps. Turns out someone had jammed a stapler in there the night before, and nobody told the front desk. I ended up scanning my laptop screen with my phone and emailing that blurry photo to the client, who thought it was a prank. Has anyone else had a shared office machine sabotage their work day, or is my space just cursed?

Bet that stapler is now the real boss of that office, deciding who gets to print and who gets a paper snowstorm. Honestly, you might have just invented a new art form with that blurry phone scan.
