Pro tip: picking a coworking spot in Portland came down to a dog named Biscuit
Last month I toured two coworking spots in Portland and one of them had a golden retriever named Biscuit who just wanders around the desks. The other place had free cold brew on tap and a quiet phone booth room. I went with Biscuit and I'm only half joking because I got more done there in two days than all of last month. But now the answer to "hey can you watch my laptop?" is 20 minutes of dog petting and zero work. Is it weird that I picked the dog over the free coffee, or is that just how it goes?
