Question about people saying you need a dedicated desk to get real work done at a coworking spot
I have been at the same coworking place in Austin for about 8 months and I almost always grab whatever open seat is free instead of paying extra for a fixed desk, and honestly my output has not suffered at all. Two folks there keep telling me I am 'missing the point' of coworking by not having a home base, which seems backwards since the whole reason I joined was to meet people and not stare at the same wall. Does a reserved desk actually help anyone here, or is it just a way for the space to charge another $150 a month?
