Read that 40% of freelancers in my city work from home full time, which seems crazy high.
I saw that stat in a local business report and it makes me wonder if coworking spaces are really worth the cost or if most people are just fine being isolated.

Wait, is that 40% just people who work from home, or does it include people who work from coffee shops and libraries? I know a ton of freelancers who can't stand their apartment but also can't afford a dedicated desk. They're basically nomadic, posting up with a laptop wherever there's free wifi and an outlet. That's still working remotely, but it's not the same as being totally alone in a home office all day. The isolation feeling really depends on your setup and your personality, I guess.

Wait, is that number just people who call themselves freelancers? I know a few who work from home but they're really just between jobs. For me, coworking is only worth it if you go nuts alone, which I do after about two weeks.

Totally get that. My brain starts to melt if I don't see another human for a few days (the silence gets weird). Coworking just fixes the crazy for me.
