Shoutout to the barista who called me out on my 'office' habits
I was at that new coworking spot on Grand Avenue last week when the barista asked if I always eat lunch at my laptop without taking a break. She said she sees about half her customers do this and they all look burned out by 3pm. Has anyone else noticed that just changing where you work doesn't fix bad routines?

Have you tried setting a phone timer to remind you to step away?

Right, because what I really need is another notification to ignore. My phone's already a masterclass in guilt tripping me with notifications I never asked for. Snooze button might as well be a permanent fixture on my lock screen at this point. Maybe I need a timer that also sprays me with cold water or something.

My phone timer went off three times yesterday alone, @garcia.wren, and I just hit snooze every single time because I was in the middle of something. Honestly, the real trick is keeping the phone in another room so you actually have to get up. Otherwise it's just a buzzing distraction.
