That quiet guy in the corner office changed how I see coworking

Was complaining to a fellow freelancer about how noisy my usual spot gets, and he mentioned he pays $200 extra a month for a dedicated desk with a door. Said he closes it for 2 hours every morning and gets more done than the whole rest of the day. Has anyone tried just buying privacy instead of fighting for it?

Man that is a solid move. I tried the same thing last year at my coworking spot, paid for a little room with a door and a desk. I blocked off 9 to 11 AM every day, no phone no chats, and it was like a different world. That two hours of pure focus let me knock out my route planning and paperwork way faster than before.

Wait does the door actually help that much? I tried noise cancelling headphones and still got distracted by people walking by. Might have to look into this.
