Took a chance on that coworking space in the old warehouse downtown...

I was super skeptical about that new spot on 5th street. Thought it'd be just overpriced tables and bad coffee. But I tried their free day pass last Tuesday and met three other freelancers who actually do similar work to me. Has anyone else had good luck finding people through those 24-hour trial passes?

Did you bring a notebook? I scored two regular clients from a trial pass like that.

Oh man, @anthonyrivera I gotta gently push back on that notebook thing. I mean, bringing a notebook is fine but you gotta be strategic about when you pull it out. If you're scribbling notes while someone's talking during a trial pass, it can come off as kinda intense or like you're writing a report on them. I've seen people do that and it makes the client feel like a specimen instead of a person. Better to just listen and maybe jot down a quick word or two after the session ends, not during. Also, if they see you writing too much it can make them self-conscious, like every move they make is being judged. But yeah, totally agree that following up right after a trial pass is where the magic happens.
