Warning: My local coworking space just lost all its internet for a full day

Honestly, it happened this past Tuesday at the Catalyst Hub in Austin. Their main router just died and they had no backup system ready. I had three client calls scheduled and had to scramble to find a coffee shop with reliable wifi, which was a total pain. Has anyone else's space had a major tech failure like this, and what did they do to fix it long term?

Ugh, brutal. My spot had a switch go bad last month. Took out half the building. They finally put in a whole backup network, separate from the main one. Took them two days of downtime to learn that lesson.

Yeah, "whole backup network separate from the main one" seems like the only way to go now. Heard a podcast saying single points of failure are just asking for trouble.
