Switched from a 2-part to a 3-part tagline setup on a 300-ton lift in Dallas and the difference was huge.
The extra line gave us way more control in the wind, which saved us almost an hour of repositioning. Anyone else tried this on a tricky pick?

How much extra line did you guys need?

Found that extra line is key for keeping the load from spinning when you're up high. We'll run a 50-foot tagline just to have it ready for those tricky picks. Lets the ground guy walk the load right into place without shouting over the radio. Saves a ton of time when the wind picks up.

50 foot tagline is a solid length for most jobs. Gives the ground guy plenty of room to work without the line getting tangled up. Smart call for those windy days.

We ran a 3-part tagline on a 250-tonner in Houston last month. The middle line was key for managing swing on a tall panel. It cut our fine adjustment time by half. Makes a big difference when you're working in a tight space.
