Why does nobody talk about leveling rod slips on soft ground
Ran a job last Tuesday in Fresno where the outrigger pad sank about 4 inches into wet fill before I noticed. Took me 3 hours to re-level and reset everything because I trusted the ground from the morning inspection. The soil looked fine but had a hidden soft layer under the top crust. Has anyone else dealt with pads sinking after you already started the lift sequence?

Man that stings, 3 hours redoing a setup you already had dialed in is brutal. Fresno ground gets sneaky like that too, crust on top looks solid and then the pad just keeps going. Hope the rest of the job went smooth after you got it sorted.
