Character sheets that list 'flaws' as quirks drive me nuts
Every prompt entry I read has a character who is 'clumsy but charming' and calls that a flaw. No, that's a quirk, a real flaw costs them something, like a fear of bridges that made them walk 3 miles around one in Portland last week. Anyone else see this in their own writing groups?
Feels like you're getting worked up over nothing here. A clumsy character can still be a flaw if it gets them hurt or messes stuff up, it just depends how the writer uses it. Most people are just having fun with prompts, not writing the next great novel.
