My beta reader ghosted me after chapter 12, then a stranger at a bus stop in Portland critiqued my whole plot
I spent 9 months on a fantasy draft and the one person who promised feedback vanished, but this random guy waiting for the 12 bus read my first page over my shoulder and somehow gave me the exact fix for my pacing problem, has anyone else gotten better advice from a stranger than from someone you actually paid?
