My worst writing week ever started with a power cut on Tuesday

I was finally getting into a good flow on a new story when the lights went out for almost eight hours. My laptop died, and I lost two whole scenes I hadn't saved. The next day, my neighbor decided to start a major demolition project, so all I heard was drilling until Friday. I tried to write at the library, but I just couldn't get the feeling back for my characters. It felt like the whole universe was against me putting words on the page. I ended up just staring at a blank document, totally stuck. Has anyone else had a week where everything just seemed to block your creativity, and how did you bounce back from it?

That demolition noise sounds like a special kind of torture. Did you try any weird tricks to get the story feeling back, or was it just a total lost cause?

Hear me out, I used to think you could just push through that kind of week.
