Went to a random thrift store in Tulsa and found a whole box of rejected writing prompts
So last weekend I killed an afternoon at this dusty thrift store off Route 66, and in the back corner there was a cardboard box labeled "Script Ideas - Free." Someone had printed out maybe 30 prompts on index cards and just dumped them there. One said "A man wakes up as his own toaster" and another was "Write a love story between two fire hydrants." I grabbed the whole box for zero dollars because who would resist that. Has anyone else stumbled on weird abandoned creative stuff in weird places like this?

Haha I love this, man. I once found a bag of cassette tapes labeled "My Band's Rehearsals 1998" at a goodwill in Ohio and it was just 90 minutes of someone arguing with their drummer about pizza toppings.

Wait, was that in Columbus or Cincinnati? My buddy found a similar thing at a flea market in Indiana. He bought a box of old VHS tapes labeled "Family Vacations 1995" and it was just a kid filming his dad trying to set up a tent for an hour straight, getting more and more pissed off while the wind kept knocking it over. No vacation footage at all, just pure dad rage and a lot of swearing. He still has it, says it's the funniest thing he owns. That pizza topping argument sounds like it could've been a classic, did they ever settle on pepperoni?

Saw a similar post on Reddit last week about cursed tapes like that, @sagejackson.
