Just realized that $75 credit repair letter service probably did nothing for my 610 score
Dropped around $75 last spring on one of those "goodwill letter" services that promise to erase late payments, and my score barely moved. Six months later I just wrote a simple dispute myself for a Verizon collection from 2021 in Columbus, and that one actually came off. Has anyone here had luck with a DIY dispute versus paying for a service? Starting to think I just paid for someone to copy paste a template.

Paid a guy $60 to do the same thing, got nothing, then my own letter worked.
