My AU account strategy finally gave my score a real nudge

Back in April my score was stuck at 642 for like 9 months. I tried disputing stuff and paying down a card, nothing budged. Then I asked my sister to add me as an authorized user on her oldest card, one she has had for 11 years with a $8k limit and no balance. It took about 6 weeks, but my score jumped to 681 last week. Has anyone else had an AU account only help after a long wait, or did mine just line up with a random update?
