The credit monitoring service I paid for missed a 90 day late payment

So I signed up for one of those paid credit monitoring services about a year ago. Thought it was gonna catch everything for me. Then last month I went to apply for a car loan and the dealer told me I had a 90 day late payment on an old store card from like 2021. I checked my monitoring dashboard and it never flagged it once. The card was one I closed after paying it off, so I guess the late was from before. Cost me a better interest rate on the loan too, probably an extra $40 a month. The service did catch a hard inquiry once, but this big one just slipped right through. Has anyone else had a monitoring service totally miss something major like this?

Did you pull your actual reports from annualcreditreport.com too, @craig.parker cause that's what catches everything.
