A friend pointed out my password habits were a real risk
We were talking about online accounts and I mentioned using the same base password with small changes. He flat out said, 'That's like using one key for your house, car, and office.' It hit me hard. I spent last weekend setting up a password manager and making all new, strong passwords for my main email and bank logins. Has anyone else made a big switch like this after getting called out?

My old password was "Fluffy123" for everything until my bank got hacked.

Yikes, that's rough. Honestly though, I'm with cora813 on this one. A single weak password for everything is just asking for trouble, way before the bank gets hit. My cousin's Instagram got taken over from a dumb password, and that domino effect is real.

Was it a friend or a bad hack that finally got you to change? My buddy ignored warnings until his Netflix got hijacked and they tried his email password everywhere, totally a @lisas78 "Fluffy123" situation. That scare story is what finally made me download a password manager too.
