I argued with my IT guy for a week about turning off Bluetooth on my phone when I'm not using it, but after my friend's car got hacked in a parking garage downtown, I finally started doing it.

He showed me the logs where someone tried to pair with his unlocked infotainment system through a Bluetooth flaw while he was at a game, which convinced me that a simple off switch is a free layer of defense.

Yeah, I read about that happening at crowded events too.

Honestly, it's so common now. I had my phone pickpocketed at a concert last year.
