I set up a fake login page to prank my roommate and got caught by my own trap
Last month I built a fake wifi login page to mess with my roommate Dave, thinking he'd type in his info and I'd get a funny screenshot. Turns out I left the page running on an open network at our apartment in Columbus, and 2 days later some random guy in the parking lot actually entered his real email and password into it. I felt so bad I deleted the whole thing and told Dave, who laughed for 10 minutes straight. It did teach me how easy it is for someone to fall for a copied login screen, even a lazy one I made in an hour. Has anyone else messed with phishing pages for fun and had it backfire like that?
