Just switched from free to paid password manager after my cousin got hacked
I always thought a free one was fine until he lost his Instagram last month because of a reused password. Bitwarden Premium is like $10 a year and the extra security checks are worth it. Anyone else make the jump from a free plan?

Bitwarden Premium is actually $10 a year, not ten dollars exactly - it's $10 even, which is wild for what you get. You mentioned the extra security checks, but the big one for me was the TOTP authenticator built in. I used to use Google Authenticator and it was a nightmare switching phones (you know the drill, having to re-scan every code). Bitwarden stores those tokens right with the login, so when I moved to a new phone last month, all my 2FA codes just moved with it. That alone is worth the ten bucks, honestly.

Yeah, the "free one was fine" mindset got me too. My bank account got locked after a breach on some random site where I'd reused a login. That ten bucks a year suddenly seems like a no brainer for the peace of mind.

My buddy's whole Steam library got cleaned out.

Peace of mind" is a strong way to put it. I've never used one and my stuff's fine, but that's rough for @milesbarnes's friend.
