My dad told me to write down all my passwords in a notebook
He said it was safer than using a password manager. Last year, my apartment got broken into and they took the notebook along with my laptop. What do you all do to keep track of passwords without something like that happening?

Man that's rough. Your dad is wrong about the notebook being safer. Use a real password manager, they encrypt everything.

Look my dad's been using a notebook for twenty years and never got hacked once. Meanwhile my buddy's password manager got a weird login attempt last month. Maybe the old way isn't as dumb as everyone says. Burglars are looking for TVs not my little black book.

Yeah, that notebook idea is a disaster waiting to happen.

Listen to ivan462, he's got the right idea. A good password manager locks everything up with encryption, which a notebook just can't do. It's way safer from both burglars and hackers.
