Carried a cheap USB data blocker after my own scare last year. It was like five bucks online and only lets the power through, no data connection at all. Saved me at so many airports, why don't more people use these?

You've actually needed it at multiple airports? That's terrifying if true. I never thought about how many bad ports might be around. For five bucks, it seems like a no-brainer. Why isn't this more common knowledge? I'm definitely ordering one now.

Honestly it's wild more people don't know. These ports are EVERYWHERE and you just can't trust them. That cheap little blocker is pure peace of mind. It should be as normal as carrying a charging cable. People just don't think about the risk until it's too late.

People skip safety for convenience. That "saved me at so many airports" part really stands out. At ORD, I once saw a guy charging his laptop from a public USB hub. He was typing passwords and everything. A data blocker would have cost him less than a coffee. But he probably never heard of juice jacking. Most folks don't until their info is stolen. It's a shame because these blockers are so simple and cheap.
