Switched from password managers to hardware keys after a scare
I used to keep everything in one manager app until a phishing attempt on a fake login page almost got my banking info last May. That close call made me move my main accounts to YubiKeys, and now I only use the manager for less important stuff like forums and newsletters. Does anyone else split their logins between hardware keys and a vault, or is that just asking for a different kind of headache?
Splitting them is smart, but the headache comes when you lose a key and have to use backup codes you saved who knows where. Just make sure each key has a spare stored somewhere safe or you're locked out for good.
