Moving a deadline by 'a few hours' somehow means 7 AM the next morning
Got an email Thursday at 4:45 PM saying the final files just need a small tweak and can I send them over 'first thing.' I said sure, figured that meant 9 or 10. Nope, 7:02 AM I get a ping asking where the files are. I was still in bed. This is the third time this particular project manager has pulled this. Is there a polite way to tell someone that 'first thing' means when my coffee is done, not when the sun comes up? Has anyone else dealt with this exact wording trap?
