My grocery store epiphany about client revisions

Standing in the checkout line at Kroger last Tuesday, I watched a cashier void and re-ring the same order three times for a coupon issue, and it hit me that my clients are doing the same thing when they move deadlines, so now I ask for the final scope in writing before I even open my laptop, anyone else found a weird everyday moment that suddenly made a freelance headache make sense?
