Rant: A client in Nashville moved my Friday deadline to Tuesday at 6pm and I was literally at my kid's recital
I sat in the parking lot of the school for 40 minutes typing on my phone while other parents walked past me, and that was the night I finally started adding a 20% rush fee clause to every contract, so tell me, does the fee actually stop them from pulling this or do they just pay it and do it again?

A good friend of mine runs a design shop and she added the same 20% fee two years ago. What happened is the same three clients just kept paying it and still called her on a Saturday, because to them the money is nothing next to getting what they want. So the fee mostly just pays you for the pain instead of stopping it, and the only thing that truly works is saying no or picking up the phone later.
