Showerthought: the library in Boise has a whole wall about deadlines and I had to laugh
Stopped by the downtown library there last Saturday and found a display of books on time management, all these calm titles about "managing stress." Meanwhile I'm standing there with a client email saying the due date moved up to Friday. Kind of wild that a quiet room full of books is the most peaceful place to freak out about a 48 hour crunch, right?

Made me think about how those calm little book displays always show up right when your life is the least calm. It's like the library knows. You walk past a table of "take a breath" titles while your phone is buzzing with people who want stuff by Friday. There's something almost funny about a quiet room full of books telling you to slow down when the whole reason you're there is to escape the speed for an hour. Maybe that's the real point of the place though. It doesn't fix the crunch, it just gives you a calm spot to sit in while you stress.
