Started using a Pomodoro timer app last week and it made me miss two deadlines instead of one

I kept forgetting to reset the 25-minute timer between client emails, so I ended up losing track and turning in half-finished work twice, has anyone found a way to make those timers actually work with constant interruptions?

Are a couple missed deadlines really that big of a deal in the grand scheme? You've been using it for a week, so it's not like you've been doing this for months and completely messed up your workflow. Just ditch the timer if it's not working and go back to whatever you were doing before.

Read a study once that said switching methods constantly can actually make you less productive because your brain never settles into a rhythm. You're right that a week is nothing in the long run. Sometimes the best fix is just killing the experiment and moving on.

Oh, I feel this one in my soul. I had a Pomodoro app for about a week and a half, and I swear I spent more time arguing with the timer than actually working. I'd be in the middle of a thought and the bell would ring, so I'd hit snooze, then forget to start a new session, and next thing I know it's 4 PM and I'm staring at a blank page. It's almost like the timer knows exactly when you're about to make progress and cuts you off just to mess with you.
