The afternoon a client moved my deadline up by 10 days and I wanted to cry
Last Thursday I got an email from a restaurant group I do signage for saying they needed the full storefront package done by Friday instead of the following Monday. They said their grand opening got moved up because the landlord pushed them out of the old space faster than expected. I had already planned my whole week around that deadline and had to cancel two smaller jobs to make it happen. Ended up working until 2am three nights in a row and my neck still hurts from hunching over my drafting table. Has anyone else had a client pull this kind of last minute switcheroo and how did you handle the stress?

Chill out a little, it's just store signs. Did they threaten to sue if you didn't get it done?

Did they really send a lawyer letter over signs? That seems a bit much. I once had a landlord threaten to evict me because I hung a bird feeder on the balcony without asking first. Ended up having to pay a 50 dollar fine and take it down, which felt pretty silly for something that just attracted sparrows.

Are you sure they couldn't have just used vinyl decals for a few days instead of rushing the whole thing?
