Why does nobody talk about how quiet the library is at 1am when you're panic-finishing
Stopped by the downtown branch in Boise last Tuesday around 1am because my apartment internet died and a deadline got moved up 3 days on me. The night desk guy just nodded and pointed at the outlet row, no questions. What caught my eye was a corkboard by the printer covered in old yellow sticky notes from 2019, all from freelancers asking the same thing: anyone know a quiet place to work after midnight? Some had phone numbers on them. It was strange seeing a paper trail of other people's panic going back years. Made my own 2am freakout feel a little less lonely, honestly. Has anyone else found a spot like that where the night staff just gets it?
