A dental tech in Tulsa showed me the difference between six shades of white and my mind is still blown
I was getting a filling replaced at a clinic on 15th and the tech held up two tiny tabs that looked identical to me. Does anyone else just nod and say "sure" when they pull out that shade guide?

My dentist did the same thing last year and I just picked the one that sounded the whitest. Big mistake. The names are wild, like "toasted almond" vs "cotton white" vs something called "natural glow." I went with natural glow thinking it would look, you know, natural. Turns out it was basically beige. My front tooth looked like it had been drinking coffee for 20 years next to the others. I went back and made them redo it. Now I ask to see the guide in actual daylight by a window, not under those bright overhead lights. That made a huge difference for me.
