Am I the only one who switched to a $22 pharmacy night guard after my dentist quoted me $450?
Last month I was sitting in the chair at a dentist office in Reno and the assistant handed me a quote for a custom guard at $450. I asked what the lab actually does and she said they just take a mold and trim it, which felt like a lot for that. I tried a $22 boil and bite one from the pharmacy first and my jaw felt fine after two nights. Has anyone compared the thin drugstore ones to the thick lab ones, and did the cheap one actually hold up past a couple months?
