Glass ionomer vs composite for my kid's cavity, I flipped after 2 fillings
I was all in on composite for my daughter's molar until the second one cracked 4 months later, but the glass ionomer the dentist pushed has held up 8 months through her candy phase, so has anyone else seen better luck with the old school stuff on kids?

Wait, the composite cracked after 4 months? That's wild, I always figured the newer stuff was supposed to outlast the old school fillings. My nephew's dentist told us the opposite, said glass ionomer was too weak for molars, so now I have no clue who to believe.
